Onion Bhajis

Spicy onion bhaji


1 Onion, thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon Coriander seeds, crushed
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
4 tablespoons plain flour
A pinch of salt
Water to mix


1) Put onion crushed coriander and cumin seeds in a bowl. Sprinkle with flour and salt.
2) Add water a tablespoon at a time and mix until the onion is covered with a fine batter.
3) Heat frying pan and spray with low fat cooking spray.
4) Place tablespoons of the mixture in the pan and press down to flatten slightly.
5) Reduce heat to low and fry each side for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.
6) Place cooked Bhajis in oven or under grill until all are cooked.
7) Serve with a Raita.
